Gigloo
Gigloo is a platform that helps workers in the sharing economy that are underserved by financial services due to their employment status as independent contractors. Our web platform will provide gigworkers with 3 main services include Insurance and Benefits, Income Smoothing and Long Term Savings.
Through exclusive partnerships, white labeling of plans, partner negotiations, and our user centric sign up Gigloo finds the best Insurance and Benefit products for you.
Our partnership with Portify and Trezeo will give you access to products that can help you request portions of your pay check early to help smooth income.
Lastly, Using our proprietary AI Chatbot Technology called Noomi, we can help you find the best long term savings products, improve spending habits and financial literacy.
User Steps
First the user would sign up with our platform.
Then they would have the option of purchasing an insurance plan now or do so later on
They would also be given the option to opt-in or out of income smoothing right after signing up or skip for now.
The user would then be taken to their personalized dashboard where they can view their insurance plan, income smoothing plan, and ask questions to our long-term savings bot.
If the user did not add these plans after sign-up, they have the option to do so on their dashboard when they are ready.
For this project, my teammate and I created mockups that helped us further develop the final look of our poster boards. The final poster boards demonstrates our design thinking approach where we were able to communicate our solution to the problem.
Income Smoothing
For our final prototype, I was assigned to work on the Income Smoothing section of our platform. Our partners are: Portify & Trezeo. These are two free services, for our customers that focus on receiving income smoothing. Our value proposition for our partners would be access to a new key distribution channel and exclusive marketing opportunities, such as push marketing and sponsored recommendations for their products.
